To consolidate methodological thinking
concerning plant awareness and human-plant relations, we are proposing a
collection of landmark studies for this area, that capture the depth and
breadth to which diverse disciplines have explored plant awareness from
respective perspectives. This survey aims to capture the opinions of researchers
from diverse disciplines and backgrounds.
Please consider completing our brief survey
(tested completion time of app. 10 minutes) to provide
feedback on the proposed studies for inclusion. The resultant collection will
be refined based on feedback, published as an academic article about the contributions
of the shortlisted studies for advancing our understanding of plant awareness and
disseminated widely.
We are three educational and social
researchers with a longstanding academic interest in plant awareness, from the University
of Gothenburg (Sweden), the University of Vienna (Austria), and the University
of Exeter (UK). This idea arose from a special collection in Plants, People,
Planet (Online ISSN:2572-2611) regarding Methodologies for investigating and fostering plant awareness.
Your answers will be saved automatically as
you go. If you select the "Pause the interview" button after submitting the
answer, you can modify the answers provided for any questions and resubmit the
form. Once you select the "Next" button on the last page, you will not be able to change
your responses. Taking part in this survey is entirely voluntary and you are
under no obligation to complete it. There are no incentives for participation.
None of the questions are mandatory, apart from the first question, which concerns
consent. There are 'free text' response boxes in this survey. Please do not put
any personal or other identifying information about yourself or any other
individual in these free text boxes.
Your data will be stored securely and only accessed by authorised users, in
line with the General Data Protection Regulations 2018 of the European Union.
The analysis, which will be based on anonymised data, will be shared with the
partners and stakeholders specified above. The results may be disseminated via
academic publication and other communication media and the anonymised data
deposited in an openly accessible research archive to be used for future
research. After each question you have the opportunity to quit and delete all entered data. The survey is open until the 31 December
2025. To provide feedback or to make a
complaint please use the text field on the last page of the survey.
